On this site, you can register to receive invitations to participate in human-subjects experiments at the Binghamton University Social Science Experimental Lab. The lab facility is located in Library North Ground Floor, Room LNG 332.
The first step in the registration process is to create an account in our database. This step does not commit you to participate in any particular experiment, but you will receive email notifications about upcoming experiments when they are scheduled. You must use your @binghamton.edu email address while creating an account.
You will not be given information about the details of an experiment until the start of that particular session, as it may affect the outcome of the experiment. However, all participation is voluntary and risks are minimal -- the experiments conducted at our lab are approved by the
Human Subjects Research Review Committee at Binghamton University. The use of deception by researchers at BingSSEL is prohibited.
Any personal information you provide us will be kept for research purposes only. Every effort will be made to maintain confidentiality.
Additional information about participating in experiments can be found in the FAQ.
If you have already registered in the subject pool, you can view the available experiment times in the calendar.
